Urban Belly

I've been wanting to try urban pregnancy photos for awhile and my friend (and stampin' up cohort) said she would be my "model". I LOVE the variety of texture there--especially by the new art gallery. I also tried some of my new photoshop actions again to spice it up! Enjoy! - J

Baby No. Tou

We have taken the Tou family's photos now for two years coming up this May. (Check out Belly no. one and newborn no. one). They came to visit our studio at the end of March on one rainy Saturday. It is so great to have a family so flexible and willing to try so many different things.

We bought this fun red and white backdrop at IKEA of all places!

We tried a little natural light, since we couldn't venture out:

One of my fav's of the day--Big Brother was so cuddly with Mom because he just woke up from a nap!

We decided to do this picture--no matter what screaming or mess entailed...it turned out really cute!

Love the hat, love the eyes--another fav!
p.s. I have been playing with fun actions in photoshop!

Artistic Flair

I recently met a sweet and talented "up-and-coming" fashion design hopeful. This young lady came by last week with a plethora of art for me to photograph for her portfolio. Yeah, something new and exciting for me! (I'll let you know if she will get in to the UFV program--stay tuned for her fashion shoot next week!) - J

Baby Sister (of Bellies. Big Sisters. and Boys)

I finally got to meet this new baby girl of my dear friends. It was so good to spend the afternoon at their house while she was alert and while she was sleeping (if this interests you, let drop me an email!) It was so fun, yet relaxing, letting the baby call the shots.
My fav picture of the day!

Look at those baby blues!

Six weeks and smiling already--so attentive!

Precious little parts:

(Just a sneek in of Big Brother with his new short hair, he looks so handsome!)

Client Comments

We appreciate the atmosphere Jeannine and Clay create. It is easy going, flexible and because they are creative, they allow you to be you and it's fun! They understand what children can be like and are willing to have you come back for another sitting if needed or they take as long as the child needs to get the pictures taken. We have had them take our first and second pre-natal shots as well as both of our sons newborn pictures, six month, and one year shots. We wouldn't go anywhere else!
-Shannon and Dan, clients from 2007 to the present

It's fun working with Custom Concepts. Having Jeannine around adds to the magic of our family’s special moments. She doesn’t just bring her camera. Jeannine brings her warmth, enthusiasm and her interest in everyone in the room as well. From homecomings, to showers and weddings, Jeannine has taken photos at so many celebrations that she feels like part of the family! In our home and our work, we really care about our party and event d├ęcor. We can’t thank Jeannine enough for the effort that she makes to capture great shots of our “Display and Design” At the same time, it the annual photos that she has taken of our granddaughter that we treasure the most. Jeannine loves kids and that always shows in her work!

Couple Behind the Camera

In 2001, after years of being asked to take photographs for many of their friends and then being recommended to friends of friends, Jeannine and Clayton decided to take their hobby to the next level and created Custom Concepts Photography.

This little-word-of-mouth company started out as demand grew for their wedding and family photography services and in the past few years has expanded into studio and product photography as well.

After photographing over 90 weddings, Jeannine and Clayton pride themselves on being known as photographers that work with their clients to capture their special memories to last a lifetime.

As the name suggests, each photography package at Custom Concepts is specifically created for each client - each client is unique, so we feel our packages should be customized to suit your specific needs including family, events, newborn, maternity, real estate ... anything that life throws your way!

Please contact us at 604.746.9295 or email us at info@customphoto.ca to discuss your photography needs.
